Known Errors

These are the known errors in our products, logged as reported with versions and platforms affected as well as corrections and work-arounds.

This list is largely historical, since it records all problems that have been reported throughout G&R history. Only the most recently reported problems still exist, unless you are using a very old copy of the product, in which case you should update the product to the most recent version.

E1174: GlinkPE, VIP7800 in 72 line mode very occasionally failed to display some lines

Product: Glink Professional
Platform: Windows
Status: Fixed in 8.0.7, 8.1.2
Last updated: 2007-12-05 16:34:11

When using Glink Vip7800 emlation with the /R72 command line option
(72 line mode) Glink could, very occasionally in special timing
situations, fail to display part of the screen until the next full
screen refresh, e.g. moving a window over the Glink window, resizing
or maximizing.

This could occur if the screen was scrolling in TEXT mode and then
received a CLR (Clear screen) command followed by new data for the
first lines of the screen, typically when reverting from text mode
scroll to FORMS mode.

The work-around is to remove the /R72 command line option or reduce the
screen update threshold config option down to a small number, e.g. 10:

  Screen->Window Attributes->Update threshold options->Characters: 10
